Vice President at Large , Richard Hunt
Richard has been fishing since he was about 20 yearsold. Starting out flyfishing for trout in Idaho mostly fishing the Payette, sometimes catching[ and mostly releasing 10 to 20 nicerainbows a day. After Richard and his family moved to Washington he mostly flyfished out of his float tube. All of this time he would purposely NOT read the magazine articles about steelhead because he didn't want to be infected with that incurable disease of catching steelhead. Richard has progressed from only flyfishing to fishing almost all ways for all species (no powerbait, bass, or catfish). Most of Richard’s fishing now is (in no particular order) Neah Bay halibut, beach coho- bobber and herring, Edmonds pier kings, Skykomish brats, chironimid fishing for trout. He also manages to fit in a full time job at O.B. Williams Co. which he believes is the best architectural millwork company on the west coast.
“I am committed to wild steelhead release year round statewide, no if's,or buts. I would like for there to be steelhead for my 3 grandchildren (all boys) to catch.”
